Can the name of Allah (swt) on a paper, or ayaat from the Qur’an be burnt if we wish to dispose of them?

“Once I asked abu al-Hassan (as) about the papers that accumulate if they can be burned in which names of Allah may also be found. The Imam said, ‘No, they must not be burned instead, first they should be washed with water.’”

Sanad: Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Utbah who has said the above hadith.

“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (as) saying, ‘Do not burn the papers, but wipe or wash them away and then you may burn them.’”

Sanad: It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the above hadith.
